Meditation can help reverse the rate of aging, especially when it comes to maintaining your gray matter, which is the part of your brain that helps control movement, emotion and memory. From reducing stress, anxiety, and depression to improving our attention spans, discover how meditation can benefit you as you get older and how to get started. Multiple studies over the years have shown the benefits that meditating has on your brain and overall mental wellness . Not only can it help control stress, but it can also positively impact attention span, memory, verbal fluency, processing speed, overall cognitive flexibility, conflict monitoring, and even creativity. It can especially be worthwhile as you get older to help offset the mental aging process.

When you look at it through the keyhole of our limited mind perception, the idea of manifesting something out of nothing seems to be a bit of a bizarre notion despite being beautiful and poetic. The reason why it appears so strange for the rational mind is because manifesting something into reality requires us to suspend our habitual way of operating through the mind, with all the judgments, expectations, doubts or seeing things through the lens of the past, and step into the flow of life. It also requires that we stop observing and following the assumed law of cause and effect as we know it, and start realising that in the state of flow we are fully participating in creation and that we can cause an effect rather than just being affected by causes outside of our own reach. In the state of flow the coin of our perceived world is flipped over.
Different Types of Meditation
By Melissa Hart 07 Jan, 2021
We’ve all seen images of people sitting in lotus position, eyes closed, serenely smiling on a sandy beach. If you’ve studied their tranquil expressions and wondered how you might achieve such inner peace, the answer is both simple and complex: meditation. Numerous types of meditation exist worldwide, many dating back thousands of years . While almost every religion incorporates some sort of meditative practice, many people simply embrace it for its health benefits. Research suggests that sitting quietly and focusing on the breath for a set period of time can lower stress, improve self-awareness and emotional well-being, increase memory and focus, and help us handle health conditions ranging from chronic pain and sleep issues to anxiety and depression. So what is this discipline that requires no medication and no tools (except for your bottom seated on a chair or a cushion)? At its most basic, meditation is a process by which people train themselves to sustain more focused attention, mental clarity, and an increased state of awareness in daily life. Various meditation practices seek to guide practitioners toward these benefits in different ways.

How can you know that which you already are? We live in an intelligent Universe, but how can Consciousness experience Consciousness? It creates a physical “reality”, the potential for relationship, and observes its Self as the play of form & formlessness, the visible & the secret. It lives a paradox because, as Oneness, it also manifests in the context of individuality, and time and space. Unity Consciousness is both everything, nothing, eternity in a moment, and the One appearing to be a multiplicity of forms.

Do you every ask yourself Why?
By Aline van de Haar 05 Feb, 2020
Why is probably one of the most asked questions in the world. Whenever we want answers from others, to understand others better or just want to understand what is happening to us.

At any moment in time, there are many thoughts going on in our mind, some which we are conscious of and some which we are not even aware of. What is a thought? It is a form of mental energy that is created by the person who has the thought. The energy in the thought causes a vibration which is passed into the environment or to the person to whom that thought is directed.

The other day, my colleague came to me and asked "Can you tell me your strategies to handle office politics? I am tired and fed up. You seem to be good at managing different situations. " Hearing this, my ego boosted and I gave him a good 30 minute talk on different strategies. Then an inner voice said - "Hey, were you always this smart ? Don't you remember how your career was before you started your meditation journey?"

What do you believe is the key to success: hard work or smart work? Modern Instagram entrepreneurs advertise the possibility of working 4-hour workweeks whilst living in a big mansion including a swimming pool and a brand new Ferrari in the garage. But is it truthful? Can you work 4-hour weeks and earn an income that’s far beyond average? In other words: is there still any value in hard work? In this article, you’ll learn what hard work is and how much it contributes to your success. Let’s dive in! The Value of Hard Work Hard work is the idea that you work more hours than the average person in your field. And that within these working hours, you go work hard on your craft. A great example of someone who works hard is Elon Musk. Musk puts in at least 80 hours of work every single week and is known to make over 120 hours. Why? Musk puts it this way: “Nobody changes the world working 40-hours a week.” In other words, the more hours you put in, the faster you get where you want to go. This sounds pretty obvious and it is. But to profit from the value of hard work, there’s another important element to look at. Smart work. You see, working hard without working smart is like hitting a nail with your fist instead of using a hammer. You might go hard at it, but the process takes you much longer. In other words, working hard isn’t a great strategy on its own. Being thoughtful about your work is as important as working hard. But when you look at Instagram entrepreneurs it’s tempting to think that you can work smart enough to game the entire system. So is there enough value in hard work to make it worth the effort? Why Hard Work is Important The fact that you get more done if you work more hours a week, should not surprise anyone. And the fact that most successful people in the world work more hours than the average person, should tell you something about the correlation between hard work and success. Look at the work ethic of these highly successful people: Jeff Bezos put in 12-hour working days during Amazon’s early days and did this 7-days per week; Venus and Serena Williams woke up early to play tennis before school and came back after school for their second session; Tim Cook is the first person in the offices of Apple and the last one to leave; Mark Cuban didn’t give himself a holiday for the first 7 years of his business; Michael Jordan’s insane work-ethic is why he is such a legend now, according to his coach Phil Jackson; Kobe Bryant would practice his basketball skills every hour of the day; Gary Vaynerchuck worked 19 hours a day for the last 20 years. What these examples show you is that you’re likely to increase your chances of accomplishing real success when you’re willing to put in hard work. But there’s something much more to consider first, and that’s self-awareness. But we will get to that in a second.

If you studied highly successful people or worked with them, as I did, you noticed common traits. They exist. Some of them were naturally inclined to have them with a big thumbs up for their proper education at home. But many did consistent effort to acquire them.

Do you have a tough time making a choice? Worried that you’ll make the wrong one? You’re not alone. This is common and to be expected. That said, it doesn’t have to be the norm. You don’t have to drive yourself insane over the choices in your life. For the longest time, I had trouble making decisions . I wasn’t sure how to move forward. Time and time again, I ended up drowning myself with information. I searched for certainty, but never seemed to find it. Eventually I uncovered three things that made decision-making easier.

Many people on the path of spiritual awakening refer to their spirit guides as angels, sometimes archangels, Ascended Masters and even Source. No matter how we refer to them it is my understanding that they are no greater nor lesser than we are. Therefore, they do not demand of us any kind of prayers, devotions or rituals other than those we may feel comfortable with as a means of opening up to their presence. Though it can be both comforting and reassuring to consider that they are the source of all knowledge, it is important to understand that whilst they may know a lot about you and your purpose, they are not necessarily all knowing about other matters.

I often listen to the Black Eyed Peas 'Where is the Love' and it always brings tears to my eyes: 'Father, father, father help us, we need some guidance from above, cos people got me, got me questioning where is the love?' Well, that love is in each of us and we all have the guidance that’s being asked for, but we might not have been taught how to listen to it. It's much simpler than you may think. It really is. The Video Here’s the video version of this article. Both the article and video complement each other, so I suggest you read/watch both. The article continues below the video.

1. Don’t use spirituality as a way to judge yourself. The idea is to uplift mind, body, and spirit, not condemn yourself or others for not being perfect. 2. Don‘t acquire spiritual knowledge and then try to convert everyone else. People need to discover things on their own. Offer what you’ve found, but keep it light. People who try too hard to convince others are often not convinced themselves.
Compassion

THE SKATER To understand compassion An image came to me Of people skating round and round Linked for all eternity Sometimes fast, sometimes slow It all depends on where you go Today you work the hardest On the outer edge of time But then the pattern swirls and turns And you are on the centre line Where all slows down But still continues round and round If one should stumble, tire or fall The incident affects us all And so we strive to keep the pace And succour them with warm embrace Round and round for ever more Perfecting our skills Learning the score The music of life On a cosmic scale Teaches us truth In an endless tale

Energy

Vibration in quantum physics means everything is energy. We are vibrant beings on certain frequencies. Every vibration is equivalent to a feeling and in the world "Vibrational" , there are only two species of vibrations, positive and negative . Any feeling makes you broadcast a vibration that can be positive or negative.
Future Vision for Humanity

I wish the Earth to be A place for people like you and me Where lessons are learnt throughout our life But all in balance not in strife Where children are loved, valued and protected Their future bright as they expected With challenges many, but pleasures too And a love of nature by all, not a few Where dolphins play and oceans sing And fairies dance in a fairy ring Where compassion guides our every act And honesty signs every pact Where no-one goes unloved, unheard And everyone knows there’s no such thing as dead Where goodness flows like a river clear Refreshing, replenishing everything near This is the world I’d like to know And love is the seed that we must sow To reap the harvest in a future not far Making the Earth a much brighter star

The sun arises on this barren land Plagued by negativity The darkest forces rage and howl Convinced of their supremacy But as the rays of light grow strong Emerge the seeds of love long sown Their tiny shots being to rise As the divine creators cast their eyes Around the Earth truth grows strong Announcing to all a brand new dawn

The times we are in right now could be referred to as The Great Awakening. And If you are wondering what it is we are awakening from, then in a nutshell, it is ignorance. Ignorance of what you may ask? Well, among other things, ignorance of the true history of the Earth, of humanity’s origins, of connection with beings from other planets, solar systems, galaxies and universes and ignorance about ourselves, about why we are here and what our purpose is.
